A Message From Our Founder, Dr. Monique Gary
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Still Rise Farms. I am Dr. Monique Gary—Dr. Mo to many—and I am honored to support your journey toward whole‑person health.
As a surgical oncologist, researcher, and clinical innovator, I have seen firsthand how evidence-informed approaches can complement conventional medical care. Through my work with patients before, during, or after a cancer diagnosis, I repeatedly heard the same questions: “What can I do to support my health? Are there lifestyle changes that can help me feel better during treatment?” These conversations highlighted that many patients wanted practical, integrative support alongside medical care, not instead of it.
That realization inspired me to create Still Rise Farms. I imagined a place where people navigating cancer and chronic illness could explore evidence‑informed wellness practices — such as nutrition, movement, and mindset strategies — in a supportive environment that complements their medical care. I chose this farm because it offered space for community, learning, and growth, and the name “Still Rise” reflects the idea that you can be still, recover strength, and rise again.
At Still Rise Farms, we apply our 4 M’s model — Meals, Movement, Mindset and Medicine — to help individuals enhance treatment outcomes and overall well‑being through education, structured experiences, and community support. Our programs integrate knowledge from clinical science with real‑world approaches that participants can apply in their daily lives.
I am also deeply committed to addressing the barriers that marginalized and underserved communities often face in accessing care. Our programs provide practical, science‑informed tools that empower participants to support their health and improve quality of life while rebuilding trust in healthcare.
It is a privilege to walk alongside you on this journey, and I look forward to witnessing your growth, resilience, and flourishing with the support of our team here at Still Rise Farms.
